Shockwave is a device that generates high-pressure acoustic waves that are directed towards the affected area.  Shockwave works to increase cellular stimulation, increase blood flow, and breakdown scar tissue.

Focused ESWTT:  targeted approach is needed to stimulate healing and alleviate pain.  Indications are when there is a pinpoint spot of pain.

Radial ESWTT: Unlike focused shockwaves, which are highly concentrated in one spot,radial shockwaves disperse outward in a radial (spreading) pattern from the point of application.
